Sales Manager (InBound - Lead Generation)

Purpose of the role:

To Manager a team of Sales Advisors (4 currently but will 10-15 by end of 2022), who complete outbound contact with students from various lead sources to convert them to having lessons on Tutorful’s platform. The Sales Advisors are contacting students through a number of different channels, such as calls, emails and live chat, and will be giving appropriate advice and recommendations. 

Duties of the role:

  • Day-to-day management of our Sales Advisor team 
  • Set targets for Sales Advisors, whilst training and developing them as required
  • Complete monthly and quarterly feedback for the Sales Advisors
  • Set up daily and weekly reporting for the Finance Director
  • Distribute leads, as required, amongst the team 
  • Understand student needs and adjust our outreach contact to meet them
  • Provide updates to your line manager on trends and queries coming into the business to help improve customer experience
  • Work in partnership on projects with other teams in the business to provide insight from the student outreach perspective to champion customers 
  • Highlight any technical issues or faults to your line manager,  ensuring  that the product is running to the highest standards 
  • Be open to work on new projects and business initiatives in line with business needs
  • Support the strategic direction of the sales team, with some support from your line manager, directly contributing to its overall success 
  • Manage time and prioritise tasks effectively 
  • Be responsive to feedback

Role Skills:

  • Experience managing a team of Sales Advisors
  • Exceptional levels of customer service
  • Sales Outreach and product marketing 
  • Strong understanding of verbal and use of written English
  • Experience of dealing with customers either face to face or over the phone
  • Understanding of the importance of customer service
  • Confidence in ambiguous situations 
  • Good ability to work flexibility in an evolving environment 

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in a technical startup
  • Previous experience of working in the Education Sector

Interview Process:

We offer a quick and effective process that can be done within 1-2 weeks from the initial call.

- Initial screening call and competency interview (30 minutes)

- Video Call with 2 Stakeholders (1hr)

- Final interview Video Call with C-Suite Stakeholders (1 hr)
